On the left, you'll see Alexi Quintana Mathé, a visiting Catalan PhD researcher in network science and a member of the Lazer Lab at Northeastern University in the US. Next to him is Marc Alcalà i Rams, another Catalan who was a research assistant at the time and is now a PhD researcher in anthropology with a predoctoral grant.
Standing next to Marc is Nigel van Herwijnen, a Dutch physicist and computational scientist who began his PhD in anthropology and sociology at the COALESCE Lab. He is pursuing a double doctorate, spending part of his time with our colleagues at the Behave Lab at the University of Milan.
In the middle of the group is Núria Targarona Rifà, a Catalan researcher with a Master's in refugee studies from the University of East London, now working on her PhD in anthropology. Next to her is Yunsub Lee, a Korean postdoctoral researcher who completed his PhD at Cornell University in the US. He now resides in Barcelona, working as a sociologist. He is also one of the supervisors of Nigel.
Beside Yunsub is Miranda Lubbers, a Dutch professor of anthropology who has lived in Spain since 2006 and is the Principal Investigator of the project. Next to her is Michal Bojanowski, a Polish researcher who earned his PhD in sociology at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. He is now an assistant professor at Kozminski University in Warsaw and a postdoctoral researcher at the COALESCE Lab, supervising Zhiyi Jin. Zhiyi is missing from the picture. She is a Chinese PhD researcher with a background in computational social science, currently pursuing a double doctorate in anthropology and sociology. At the time of the picture, she was at the University of Groningen. She has also studied in the UK and Sweden before coming to Spain.
Alejandro Ciordia is not in the picture either. He is a postdoctoral researcher from Madrid, specializing in political sciences and sociology, and supervises Núria. Together, this interdisciplinary group works hard to prepare the survey and analyze its results.
