Our invitation to tender aims to attract companies that can conduct a social science survey in 4 European countries, as part of EU funded project "PATCHWORK: A Network Science Approach to Social Cohesion in European Societies". The project aims to advance the state of the art of research into social cohesion with a highly innovative survey instrument, and to collect survey data in Hungary, Poland, The Netherlands, Sweden/Denmark, about people's interpersonal relationships and how they relate to their opinions about society (N = 1,500 respondents per country). The survey has already been designed and pretested in Spain, and translations of the survey will be given to the company. This is an opportunity to contribute to science and learn about new survey techniques measuring social networks.
The budget is nearly a million euros (excluding VAT). The invitation to tender has been posted here at the EU's Tenders Electronic Daily, and you can find all the documents (in Catalan, but also translated to English for your convenience) here. You can make an offer via this link in the upper left corner of the same page, until February 9th at 13.00 CET. Survey companies are kindly asked to make offers that can provide us with the highest-quality, nationally representative survey data for these four countries.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, via the "send question" button on the same page, or by writing to the Principal Investigator, Miranda Lubbers, at mirandajessica.lubbers@uab.cat. Answers to relevant questions will be added to the platform for transparency.
Some of the texts on the page are still in Catalan (the UAB team is working on it), we´d be happy to provide you with the translations. In any case, translations to English of the technical specifications (PPT) and the administrative specifications (PCA) are available in the documentation section.
